Perhaps I should write more often…
So, as we all know, I’m definitely a procrastinator.
As I currently sit and write this, I’m meant to be studying for my exams beginning in two days. So I’ll keep it short and (hopefully) sweet.

Cirque du Soleil is something I’ve always heard amazing things about, but never something I thought I’d actually see.
In fact seeing Cirque du Soleil, in Moscow, inside the Kremlin is something I never could have imagined myself really doing. But it was absolutely incredible.

8 of us went on a group excursion which we arranged ourselves (thank you Jocelyn!) to a nearby town called Staritsa which is in Tverskaya Oblast. It’s also located along the banks of the river Volga and only took us about an hour’s drive to reach.
Fierce Russian icicles. Mine.
Katy’s excellent icicles. They could kill.

A fresh blanket of snow makes this town beautifully bearable.

[January 14/15 2012]
First weekend back in Tver after the Christmas break, it’s been rather relaxing, calm and peaceful. A nice change to the usual, I suppose!
On the plane over from Edinburgh-London Katy and myself witnessed the most beautiful sunrise. It was absolutely breath-taking and kind of gave us a feel-good start to our epic adventure.

It’s not so easy packing to return back “home” for another 4 months, especially when half of your suitcase is filled with food and snacks which you have been craving for the previous 4 months… My mom is a brilliant help though, she returned home from shopping on multiple occasions with bags of food solely for me to take back with me.

Miniature cereal boxes (because I can’t get my favourite cereals here, and have been surviving on musli for breakfast every day…), multiple bars of dairy milk chocolate, parma violets, cup of soups and pasta, McCoy’s crisps, syrup, gravy, and so the list goes on. All this combined, my suitcase was rather heavy, and yet again, I was over the weight limit. Kak obichno, chto delat’?
What can you do, really?
